I thought it was a realistic type of romance with great characters. It was a good story showing that home is where the heart is.
What person doesn't wish for romance with a clean, honorable and hot movie star especially an old friend from your past. It does have betrayal, hope, forgiveness and restoration interwoven through out the story. A must read.
This author never misses. I am never disappointed with her characters and story lines. This was a sweet Christmas love story that just makes me more in the mood for the season! I highly recommend this quick holiday read.
Thus story so complements "the gift of the Magi" with tying the true gift of love into a modern day love story. It easily held my attention to the very end. Great use of the true meaning of Cristmas
Good little story. I like all her books. Sometimes I wish I could edit them for her, but she is a great story teller. This is a get-back-together-again story after many years of being apart. Several of her books are along that line. It's a great story-line, and just one of many that K.R. Jordan does well with. This one was more like a short novel, which is convenient to read when you don't have much time.
Act of Love was a very enjoyable quick read.
Jack heads home from Hollywood to recover from his latest box office flop. His sister needs him to play the lead in a play for the local community theater and he agrees. He is in shock to find out that his leading lady for the play is the same one that he walked away from 8 years previous. Natasha is equally in shock that seeing Jack after all this time would still bring up all of the emotion that she had after their break up. Jack knows he did Natasha wrong.
Will she give him a chance to show that he has changed? Will Jack be able to prove to Natasha that he still really wants her in his life?
Give Jack and Natasha's story a try. You will not be disappointed.
I absolutely loved most elements of this story. I only had 2 reasons for giving the author 4 stars, instead of 5. Her editor needed to do a better job, as I found several items that should have been caught. He, instead of she, then, instead of them, a couple of omitted words, and a few times that words were typed twice in a row. in a couple of instances, these things meant I needed to reread a sentence, to gain a clearer meaning. These were minor, but I have read other works by this author where this was not an issue. Again, she's a great writer, but her editor didn't catch everything.
I also thought the duet at the end of the story bordered on sappy, but was ok. Many readers will love it.
Yes, I would highly recommend reading this book. I don't recap what goes on in a story, because readers get that with the story synopsis. It's a good book, likable characters, well written.
